amy
dude that's just 20 questions of "do you hate gay people". Link to comment
Gundampilotspaz
Well the test is a bit one sided. I for one said that I didn't think the gays needed to organize. Because I don't think any group needs to organize it only brings out the craziest bunch of any group of people. Look at the NRA. Link to comment
uniform_motion
Well the test is a bit one sided. I for one said that I didn't think the gays needed to organize. Because I don't think any group needs to organize it only brings out the craziest bunch of any group of people. Look at the NRA. Organization is an easy way to find people with common traits. Especially in a homophobic state. Link to comment
Gundampilotspaz
But said organizations can, and do, give a sterotypical image of the entire group. Link to comment
thebornotaku
4 - Your score rates you as "high-grade non-homophobic." In his 1996 study of 64 white, male college students, Dr. Henry Adams classed 29 participants as "non-homophobic." Their mean score was 30.48, however, placing most of the men outside of this sub-group. Dr. Adams reported that he had difficulty finding heterosexual men whose scores ranked them as high-grade non-homophobic silly quiz. i'm bisexaul. Link to comment

uniform_motion
But said organizations can, and do, give a sterotypical image of the entire group. Stereotypes happen no matter how moral you try to present yourself. I think I would rather find friends with common traits than care about what people think. Like The Smiths lyrics: And if the people stare then, the people stare I really don't know, but i really don't care Link to comment
Gundampilotspaz
I barely like to group myself with the Libertarian Party of America because of the negitive view that some ignorant people have to them. And a few issues on which I disagree. Now I don't mean social organizations, but political ones. Link to comment

Oh I am proud I'm a libertarian, it is just that the Libertarian Party don't follow everything that I believe. Its more personal then anything else. Link to comment

amy
but the test only tests theory and theory is a bunch of lies. here are better prejudice tests, although there is only race and gender due to obvious difficulties showing a gay person etc (how do you tell!11) http://www.understandingprejudice.org/iat/index2.htm When I took the race test I got "strong preference for white people" or something, it was true and a big shame, you can't just make a "LOL PREJUDICE??" thread and erg >< Link to comment
Gundampilotspaz
It groups people together and generalizes all members, not taking into accout individual beliefs. And people, take on the beliefs of the organization. Link to comment

Gundampilotspaz
Again, here you go with this Objectivism shit. People can work together and not all be the same. Well its like the Democratic and Republicans. Some people, not anyone speaking right now, see black and white when it comes to the two parties. And they assume that a member of that party embodies all that it stands for. The same is true for the gun-nuts and the gays. Link to comment
Venom112
"WTF!? - High-gra- you know what? No. You put radical Christians to shame. Thanks for making us not let Bert and Ernie be roommates anymore... Nazi." I think that was a little uncalled for to tell you the truth. Just because I think homosexuals should be coralled into camps where they would be tortured until they beg for death, where their skin is made into lampshades and their thighs into delicious meat, just for their sexual orientation, does that make me a bad person? uniform_motion
Well its like the Democratic and Republicans. Some people, not anyone speaking right now, see black and white when it comes to the two parties. This is true, but these people are naive! Exactly why it's not a valid point to point out that these morons exist. Groups can work, and I believe it. Stereotypes are stupid and people are stupid, no one's going to change that. I don't change the way I live or think just so that I am not placed into a group of people who are pre-conceived to fit certain stereotypes. Edited December 8, 2005 by Coop Link to comment
