As we can all see by Wind's review of a pre-release version of A Twist in the Myth which he gave a 10/10, some people just can't give unbiased reviews sometimes. :happy:

What I suggest is that when someone proposes to review a CD we get anywhere between 2 and 4 people to all review it and then have one of them post it as one compiled post. This way we'd would get different sides and opinions so that we would have a better sense of how good an album really is. We could use the -/10 sclae and then at the end find the average of all the reviews and get a final opinion.

Suggestion for layout:

[At top of post: image of slip cover front.]

Then...

[Reviewer's Name]

[Paragraphs discussing it. Could include a song by song breakdown.]

[Final summation, maybe with a list of pros and cons.]

[score on a 1-10 scale.]

Also, I suggest we make a thread in the Music section entitled "Album Reviews" then sticky it and people can organize reviews of albums.

we could try i suppose, i'd like to do it but i just think i'd be a terrible reviewer... but as long as we screen each others (or at least you screen mine to make sure it's decent) then we could get sumfin rollin'

awesome. i'm going to try and make contact with Brice later so maybe he'll want in on it

i think as long as you give reasonably intelligent reasons why something is good or bad and don't fall victim to fanaticism (which hasn't been a problem for youze guys) the reviews will be good :crube:

can you download stuff from upload sites? i just PM'd matt about reviewing core by persefone and i don't know if he has it, so i may end up uploading it anyways

I can do that, but not frequently. It's best for me to have stuff sent over AIM or MSN (Which I'm at last using again!) I've found. All you fuckers I'm pretty sure are on my Buddy List, so we can definitely talk about it sometime though. Or we can do it on here of course too.

I like to WRITE THINGS. And I also enjoy to LISTEN TO MUSIC. So I think, when I get home, I could participate in said "reviews" as you call them. Just don't let me review a Devin Townsend or Nick Cave album, unless you want the average of the scores to drop about 25% :biggrin:
