kaura117
Democrats have wrested control over both House and Senate... though, for the latter, only by a scalpel's edge. A stalemate now exists between the Legislative and Executive, and it is possible that the delightful scent wafting by is not so much the crisp Autumn air, but the reams upon reams of indictments aimed at the GOP's head. darkon
The Democrats would be wise to not go after impeaching Bush, I'd love it as much as a lot of people but it would simply waste time and be a bad move in the realm of public opinion. With the current stalemate they should be firm in having an actual platform which they'll try and implement and try to make Bush crack. Link to comment

The Diabetic
I like how every democrat I've heard in the past 48 hours has been spiteful and downright hateful in their victory. Link to comment

I like how I've only heard Democrats praise their victories as a sign that Americans want change and bipartisanship. Link to comment
Nega-Brent
Our favorite asshole's take on the election results and what is to come. Now the unintended consequence of the power shift in D.C. is that some Democrats will try to impose a secular-progressive agenda on the country. Does he think at all before he opens his mouth? Ceraziefish
Part of me wants to believe that something good will come of this but it's so hard. There is one thing I agree with Bill O'Reilly on though: But that could backfire on the Democrats as most Americans do not want Mr. Bush attacked. They want to see if the Democrats can do better. cappy
what? i think only 30% of americans dont want bush attacked. Link to comment
Baltar
If thats the case then those 30% would be the same rough 30% who approve of him being in office. p Link to comment
Samurai Drifter
That was kind of the point... Oh yeah, also... the democrats are a lot better to have in power than the republicans, but it must be remembered that during WWII it was a democratic president that ordered all the Japanese in America to be taken to prison camps. We can't totally let down our guard. Link to comment
