I know for a fact that I didn't pre-order Double Dash and found a copy the day I went to look for it.

This IS Nintendo's biggest release on the Wii.

They sold out in Japan because they are idiots and didn't make enough copies.

One of the reasons this game got delayed so long is because Nintendo didn't want the same thing happening in the states.
