Gundampilotspaz
http://www.dvorak.org/blog/?p=8520#more-8520 Hot on the heels of the release of the Iraq Study Group Report — and a day in which 10 U.S. servicemen were killed and at least 84 Iraqis were blown up or shot — prospective presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will join with Joe Lieberman to hold a press conference today at 3 pm ET to announce the launch of a television PSA campaign about… video game ratings. Oh. My. God. The violence in Iraq is becoming more savage by the minute — among the dead yesterday were 45 bullet-riddled corpses found in Baghdad, many of whom had been tortured before being executed — and Hillary is worried about video game violence? Are you kidding me? Could she be any more politically tone deaf? Unfortunately, given the realities of the space/time continuum, I won’t be able to make it to Washington in time for the press conference — so could someone there please ask Hillary about her priorities? Is she really going to make a big deal about Resident Evil or Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas when we have real tortured and mutilated bodies piling up all across Iraq? This press conference should be rated UC — Utterly Clueless. Link to comment

darkon
Hillary won't get through the Democratic primaries because there is enough base in the party to turn against her. Senators don't make good Presidential nominees, it's a proven fact. Get governors. Go Bill Richardson. He's a governor, from a traditional red state, and already greatly involved in foreign affairs. He was U.S. Amabassador the U.N. Link to comment
Samurai Drifter
Not to mention, in a recent party poll, 48% of voters said they wouldn't even consider voting for her. Link to comment

The last two nominees were robotic and didn't make their plans clear. Al Gore didn't grab a personality or find his sense of humor until after he lost. Still waiting for John Kerry to become a real boy. Link to comment
amy
She could have stopped the Rwandan genocide but she didn't. She was one of the most influential officials in the White House at the time but she, along with the rest of the USA, took absolutely no action When her husband traveled to Rwanda after it was over, he publicly "expressed regret" (but DID NOT apologize) for, wait for it, "the Rwanda thing." Can you imagine, in front of the Rwandan people themselves, speaking of misplaced priorities. I am so angry at everything Clinton recently. D<<< Link to comment

Cleese
Why was Rwanda a hard thing to get into? Somalia. In Clintons biography, he states that the involvement in Somalia and how it turned out made both him and most of the US extremely tenative about ever going back and getting involved with any sort of war/genocide in Africa, and since Rwanda was right on the heels of Somalia, it was pretty hard to get any sort of support to send troops over there. Frustrating yes, but thats how it was, and still is for the most part. Anyway, everyone seems to be boasting about Barak Obama being the next candidate for the Democrats, according to this poll, he's second on the list for democratic nomination, behind Clinton. As far as topic thread, nothing new with Libermann, he's always been saying games are too violent. Plus you can only bark about Iraq so much until people get sick of it, plus you can't run an entire campaign on Iraq. O wait.... Link to comment
