Satan
keep in kind that a judge in this case acted improperly (if we can trust the Beast, that is) I think this is the article I wanted. Link Link to comment
Samurai Drifter
How sure are we that this is the reason her son was taken away, though? Perhaps she developed a drug or alcohol problem that the article failed to mention. A judge stating that participation in a satire religion means you are obviously unfit to be a parent is highly illogical. It seems like there's something missing. Link to comment

It seems like there's something missing. a judge directly asking questions about a satire to determine custody is also highly illogical. I am perfectly capable of believing that the judge is the most fucked up one in this situation. I'm not saying she doesn't have problems, I'm just saying the judge isn't acting correctly, and if the dad is out of state, he probably isn't a model parent either. Link to comment
I live in your sock
Link This article made me feel sorry for the judge! ^^;; Although I don't agree with him, I think the article could be a bit more unbiased.... Link to comment

James_xeno
Wait, wait, so was her son taken away because the judge thought she was taking part in some kind of nutty new religion, because she was making fun of other religions? Or was it because of her conduct while doing either? The third one isn't maybe so bad, especially if there is some aspect or key fact we're missing about this. If it's the second and thus no making fun of religion well.... fuck that. Now if it's the first reason, with no basis for concern about the third, then this is really fucking fuck fuck fucked! That means he's saying that not following one of his court approved religions = unfit to be a parent! Taking a child away from his or her mother (or father if he already has custody for some reason or both) without a really, really, extremely good reason (life or death etc) is fucking outrageous! I think that one of the pictures involved nudity, which might have had something to do with the judge spending 15 minutes looking at them alone. I doubt the mother was a model parent, but the judge and father don't come across as spectacular role models either. Orly? I have never heard of The Beast before so, I would not know.... sorry, I guess I shouldn't have assumed that you would have, but on the otherhand it doesn't take too long on their website to figure out that they are biased Link to comment
