Changes are pretty good that I'll buy the DVD's. Shit, if we get other random SOS Brigade swag, I might spring for some of that, too. One of those armbands that Haruhi wears would pretty much own, especially since I am only one of two people at my school that would be able to recognize it xD

I guess we'll see about the swag. But I'll be optimistic.

What I wonder is why they decided to change the name from SOS-dan to ASOS-dan just for America =/

News update: In the ASOS Brigade ep 02, they announced who the voice actors are, plus some blatant Yuki fanboyism by one of the guys who works at the studio. They also introduce the people who work at Bang Zoom studios.

The show was certainly not "awesome"

It is very comparible to the Xbox 360, all style and no substance. And I will still argue that if it wasn't for the dancing in the ending theme, the show wouldn't receive half the attention it got. That dancing was genius from a marketing perspective (of course I think it is vomit inducing)

It's horrible.

EDIT: It is not worth wasting 16 minutes of your time to hear the opinions of a bunch of self proclaimed anime geeks wearing haruhi headband bow things debate whether the series is good or not so you can hear the voices. As with most dubs, they suck.

(And I wasn't joking about the haruhi hairband thing, almost, if not all of the chicks in that video are wearing one).

Either none of the DVD rips I have (I ripped them myself) have subtitles or I omitted them to save space.

Besides, I've never purchased an anime DVD before, so I don't know.
