The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion: The Shivering Isles

So it's official. The expansion to oblivion is coming out, and is called the Shivering Isles. The expansion takes place in the realm of Sheogorath, the insane Daedra Lord, so the world is twisted and wracked with craziness.

For example; there is an entire town which is split in half with mirrored images of the citizens each side claiming the other side is their doppleganger, and you have to figure out why....

Anyways, it's looks rad. Much more original than the stuff in Cyrodill. It's got an almost Morrowind other-worldly feel.

Damn. I wish I hadn't deleted my Oblivion files. I cannot wait to get home for there is much Oblivion to be played in preperation for this expansion.

That's good news. Oblivion was kind of plain and boring...

But Morrowind was awesome. My heart pines for giant fucking mushrooms again.

So I'm about 3 or 4 missions in and a citizen of the shivering isles.

I must say the art direction is awesome and I LOVE the dawnstar. A sword that essentially levels up by absorbing the souls of the people it kills.

Awesome awesome expansion as of yet.

So I beat the main quest on my 360, now to play through the whole thing on the PC. But the main quest was AWESOME. First time I think they've made significant changes to the Daedric lore. Awesome epic level stuff. Plus it was fun and original.

Can't recommend this enough if you liked Oblivion.

(Plus I have my character fully decked out in madness armor. Woo!)

Shivering Isles was exactly what Oblivion needed to complete the package. Now no one can complain that it's all medieval castles and forests. Also, it has a main quest that doesn't suck.
