I only have one idea My Idea #1: Buy ingredients for soup, make soup, take pictures along the way and of the finished product. Link to comment

margot
photo diary. take photos of your life and put them on live journal ! ! ! Link to comment
amy
Aww Crube, clearly mine is in the wrong hands. I don't know what would be good for a photo diary though. I don't have the kind of friends that take "^__^" pictures in a group, and I don't go to different places. Well, I guess I could go to different places. I can take a picture of the supermarket trip too, to buy soup ingredients? Link to comment

amy
When the flowers bloom they should be prepared for my zoom-lens rape. How do you take candid shots without creeping people out? Link to comment
Tanni Foemangler
hide the camera and keep the button pressed halfway down (to get the auto-focus out of the way) until you're ready to take a picture. i used to do it all the time Link to comment

Alundra
I use mine as a day to day thing, it really depends on what you like to take pictures of. My girlfriend and I use it to take pictures of ourselves each day on the trips we take, or the things we see, we swap between the camera and our cell phone camera. Some of the the worst sins you can commit with a camera is putting it's manipulator in front of it, it defeats the true purpose of photographic media. I choose not to include myself in alot of my pictures, but I think that the most you can really get out of a digital camera is day-to-day pictures. Nothing will ever beat the feeling of manually winding the film of a traditional camera while taking cerful notice of every single detail around you in order to capture the perfect "moment in time", if you will. The last 10 images on the digital camera: - A picture of us on the side of a mountain - "Wake up with the one you love" sign outside a McD's in the morning. - License plate with "SEXYMOM" on it with a guy driving the car. - The "Ghost Reveries" picture I posted. - Picture of the moon reflecting off the Atlantic Ocean at Seaside Beach. - Me in girl's sunglasses. - Katie putting on her wigger brothers "ghetto hat" (I think I'll post it) - My totalled car - Picture of me cooking burgers. - My potential new car. In all honesty, if you chose a digital camera as your media of choice in capturing something more meaningful and beautiful than everyday life, you have made a mistake. My ex-girlfriend was a photographer, and I have evaluated her digital work in comparison to her traditional photagraphy, and the difference is immediate in the hands of someone skilled; traditional wins. No Sad Endings
1) That's bullshit, digital media and film are two completely different things, and have completely different strengths and weaknesses. One is not better than the other. Which you should use depends entirely on what you want to do. 2) I don't think Amy is trying to take art photography here anyway. Link to comment
margot
mm yes. It's like how people claim film movie cameras have a "special aura" or something, when there's no reason at all to use them instead of digital except for nolstalgia. :X And that's according to people in the industry. There are techniques you can do with traditional media that you can't do with digital, but there are techniques you can do with digital that you can't do with traditional. And then there's the simple fact that digital is easier and faster and cheaper, and therefore you have the additional asset of being able to be more spontaneous. Link to comment

I'm not kidding either. You have a really nice neck line, and nice hair that basically demands such a garment. Link to comment
