Bush spoke of "energy independence," though the nation's dependence on imported oil has grown steadily since Bush took office despite all the talk and enactment of his energy legislation.

Another good thing I can think of is all of the African Aide's relief money that the administration's has been donating. Its supposedly the most that any administration has donated in a long time. On the other hand, these donations work in conjunction with abstinence-only programs and are pretty much run by far-right Christian fundamentalist, so it's somewhat of a double edged sword
