Gundampilotspaz
From the creators of the best Real-Time strategy game ever made Chris Taylor and his new company Gas-powered games (who made Dungeon Siege) have rolled out the unofficial sequel to Total Annihilation. It embodies everything that TA was, and pushes it to the limit of modern technology. I had a great time with the Beta and can’t wait for the full version to be released. Try the demo, and buy the game to put Chris Taylor back on top of the gaming world. Download Demo now! Images from 1up.com Repost from: http://gundampilotspaz.wordpress.com/ Link to comment

Ceraziefish
So, the AI in this game is awful. And except for dealing with transports (which are kind of a pain in the ass in combination with the ctrl groups) I never want to zoom in. Being able to set up building queues is pretty awesome, though, it cuts down on base building micromanagement. Unfortunately it's stupidly easy to make a base that's pretty much invulnerable (see point #1). It's kinda cool. But it could be a lot cooler. Link to comment

In fact it's the Demo's hard now. But the medium difficulty on the Demo is WAY too easy. Link to comment
Ceraziefish
I wasn't talking in terms of "hard" and "easy," I was speaking in terms of "retarded" and "not retarded." Seriously I watched the AI send small groups of units at me over and over again that never had any chance of winning. I remember this happening in Warcraft II. They should've fixed that problem by now. I dunno, the game just bugged me. It wasn't amazingly revolutionary or anything. It was cool, but not what I was hoping for. Also the story is dumb as hell and cliched. Link to comment

Ceraziefish
I might try playing around with it again on hard, but hard RTS games make me puke out of sheer annoyance. Basically discount everything I've said in this thread because I don't like RTS games much. I mean, I like the idea of RTS games, but for the most part I don't like them a lot (except for WCIII single player because that was secretly an RPG). (And WCII because WCII is fucking sweet). EDIT: I like Supreme Commander a lot more than Starcraft :hardgay: Link to comment
