stranger
i'm semi-interested in getting SSX Blur, but from some of the reviews i'v read, people are endlessly complaining about the controls sucking, has anyone here played it yet? if so, please do tell what you think and if you remotely recommend it Link to comment
Wind
pretty sure this is an example of a dev. slopping a game together without thinking of the control scheme first. Although I really was looking into it aswell, looked cool. Link to comment
Galkar
I think the series has been going steadily downhill since Tricky which was amazing, so my expectations for this game are rather low at this point. Link to comment
Siendra
The game is fun. And the controls are fine, it's just that people don't adjust their Wiimote settings. Uber tricks take practice to pull off, that's the only thing people keep bitching about. "Holy shit! I need to try in order to be good at this? Screw it, this games sucks." Link to comment
The Lone Magician
I loved Tricky. On Tour is pretty good, too, but not as good I think. I want Blur, though. Link to comment

I have to say, one of the main reasons I like the various SSX games so much is that I'm inexplicably good at them. Link to comment

stranger
i picked up Blur a few minutes ago, i'll post thoughts in a bit thanks for all the feedback guys well, after spending about 2 hours with the game, i have come to the conclusion that yes, the controls are indeed difficult to grasp, but once you do, they're fairly simple and altogether fun, i still haven't mastered the ubertricks, using the little feature in the options menu where you practice them, i was able to do them all no-problem, so it shouldn't be much more difficult in game. looking forward to playing some more tomorrow Link to comment
Ceraziefish
Hmmm... Now I want to play this game. The thing about SSX games is that I always found single games and multiplayer really fun, but I could never stick around and finish a whole character or whatever, doing the same thing over and over again just got boring. The Lone Magician
Is it Just Wiimote controls, or did they also add Gamecube controller ones like other games? Link to comment
LeadingMan
Is it Just Wiimote controls, or did they also add Gamecube controller ones like other games? I can't think of a single wii game that offers gamecube controller support other than GC backwards compatible titles or VC games. Link to comment
