The graphic novel and the movie do not have an obligation to be historically accurate since they're meant to entertain.

qft

now if it wasn't based on the graphic novel i'd be pissed but i dont get why ppl are upset. because.......it's based on well, something that ISN'T accurate. i'd get pissed if it WAS accurate, but still 'based' on frank miller's gn. that would be shitty.

all in all it was awesome, and i didn't know rupal was gonna be in it.

Basically the fight scenes were some of the best ever. I just love the random limbs that would be cut off as the Spartans owned through the Persian fodder.

whoever choreographed that movie needs to win something.

i sat there watching the movie and was like 'dude, this is REALLY good choreography'

I think the best one was when the Captain's son and that other guy were being focused on and they just killed like 40 Immortals by themselves. That pretty much was my favorite scene up until

the son gets his head cut off. :(

I really wished they would have included the ending fight scene, though. That started and I was like "FUCK YEAH EPIC FUCKING HUGE FIGHT SCENE" then WHAM! Credits.

Yeah, pretty much.

the best part of the entire movie is near the begining when Leonidas screams THIS IS SPARTA, and kicks the messenger into the whole, GODDAMN such a good scene

I like when

The king of Sparta throws the spear and it hits the mouth of the king of the Persian Empire

. Epic and shit.

I think it was pretty cool when the Spartans killed those Immortals, too. I especially liked the

WALL OF CORPSES

that

FELL ON THAT SONOVABITCH!

Best 9.50$ I've spent.

I saw a midnight showing yesterday and was amazed. This is SUCH a good year for movies. The soundtrack as well is some of the most epic music ever.

The soundtrack is pretty awesome (and fitting!).

THE WHOLE FUCKING MOVIE WAS EPIC/AMAZING/INCREDIBLE/ ECT. ECT.

now one of my favorite moves

oh yea and i cant wait for that soundtrack

Yeah. I'm definitely buying it once it comes out on DVD.

He shouldn't have pretended to bow though, it was obvious he was gonna try something. He should have just DID it.

I think he should have just dropped his helmet and shield and then thrown the spear.

I'm not leaning towards what your saying, cause the bowing is what put the Persians off guard.

EDIT - fucked up what i wanted to say.

I'm leaning towards what your saying, but the bowing is what put the Persians off guard.

I think it was brilliant how the directors pulled that off, though. Not telling why he took off his helmet and shield until after he

threw the spear at the Persian King

.

He could have done that, and then begin to bow and picked up the spear.

Also the Spartans hiding being their shield wall was weak...maybe I'll being too much of an ass xD
