Foldered, Neil Gaiman seems to be pleased with the direction the movie is going judging from his blog.

Hmmm.. I don't really like how the Star looks like she's portrayed from that trailer. She's supposed to be be very emo and ornery throughout most of the book, but in the trailer she looks all giddy and happy.

This is like one of my favorite books ever, so I hope they don't stray too far from it.

I'd never heard about this until earlier today when someone forced me to watch the trailer. Looks incredibly awesome. Seems like this might be another situation where I'm going to benefit from not having read the book.
