The Lone Magician
What do you guys think the "console wars" would be like if Sega still made consoles? I think that if the Dreamcast weren't such a bomb (I love my Dreamcast, by the way) that Sega would have been able to make something possibly better than the Wii. But that's just me. Link to comment
Svenska Aeroplan
Indeed, Sega would make a better console that is lightyears ahead of the others and offers amazing gameplay and innovative games. However, very few people would likely buy it, and it would join the Saturn and Dreamcast in forgotten history. Link to comment

Svenska Aeroplan
Seriously, I really hate it when I mention the Dreamcast, and people say, "The .. what?" Link to comment
The Lone Magician
You just keep breaking my heart... Sometimes I wonder how it failed, it had some great games: Sonic Adventure (one and two), Virtual On: Oratario Tangram, Jet Grind Radio... Link to comment

I remember around that time everyone was holding off for the PS2, and once they got that, the forgot about the Dreamcast. I just came out too early. Also, it wouldn't have hurt for them to have run a commercial every so often... Link to comment
The Lone Magician
Yeah, good point. Although, if it weren't for the Dreamcast, I'd never have started PSO. Thank God I have a Dreamcast. I wonder what the next system would have been called. Link to comment
Svenska Aeroplan
Oh gawd. I miss the origianl PSO so much. I've been through a few Dreamcasts, but in the end, they all died. I am now Dreamcast-less. :( Link to comment

Svenska Aeroplan
If I remember correctly, during an interview about Shenmue, Yu Suzuki mentioned that Sega wished to make another console some day. He said it would likley come about what is now, the next generation to come. No telling what's happened with that after all this time though. Link to comment

Whole new episode. Ep. 3 kinda sucks, though. Link to comment
Siendra
*strokes his DC ever so softly* PSO owned. Ep.3 gets a lot better about mid way through, once the battle system makes a decidedly strategy based shift. Ep.4 was just worthless. Link to comment

Svenska Aeroplan
I only played the Original, version 2, PSO:BB and PSU. The Original was the best I think. All the hacking and flooding the game with rares made people just play the game and have fun. All anyone in PSO:BB wanted to do was trade rares and do the same quest over and over and over and over and over All anyone in PSU ever wanted to do was Da Ragon runs. Stupid. Link to comment

Galkar
I'm so glad that when my other consoles were stolen, my beloved Dreamcast was left safely untouched. Link to comment

Ep. 4 was kinda' pointless Mag. There wasn't a whole lot to it. As for PSU: Was anything besides Deragan unlocked? I mean, that ALL ANYONJE WANTED TO DO. Link to comment

As for PSU: Was anything besides Deragan unlocked? I mean, that ALL ANYONJE WANTED TO DO. Yes. There were zones that went way past the dragon part. Problem is, people would always quit the mission and start over after the dragon. Sega took so long to unlock the content that people just assumed that the first boss they came to was the end of the zone. Link to comment
Galkar
Did anyone else play typing of the dead? That was a quality shooter... typing tutor... if I've ever seen one. Link to comment

Sega was just way too slow unlocking content. I mean, for the longest time, there weren't even world drops that couldn't be found in shops. And the synthesizing system sucked balls due to a lot of the stuff for better equipment NEVER dropping. The game on a whole was released way, way to early. Link to comment
