Nega-Brent
Meh. “Super Max” is Goyer’s take on supervillain incarceration in the DCU. Revolving around a wrongly convicted Green Arrow being whisked away to the super max prison for out-of-control heroes and villains (where he's forced to face a number of inmates he put there), Goyer says the flick—which he’s developing with writer Justin Marx—isn’t just a Green Arrow film. So... why not just make a Green Arrow film and save this idea for a possible sequel? Link to comment
Natsu
not a Green Arrow fan, but I'll give it a watch Link to comment
TeleportSandwich
So... why not just make a Green Arrow film and save this idea for a possible sequel? Becuase David Goyer is a douche. I met him in person, so I know. Link to comment
Ceraziefish
I'd love a Green Arrow movie. Not huge on comics, but still... I like Green Arrow. Link to comment

PMA
Eh... not sure on the plot, but I'm the biggest GA fanboy on the planet so of course I'll be first in line. And congrats on the Blue Beetle theme Arse. I should be getting ready to write a paper, but instead I'm going to just read the best SINGLE comic in the last few years (Countdown to Infinite). So awesome... Link to comment
LeadingMan
Sounds pretty interesting. I'm getting a little tired of the "show the origin, beat the villain" movies. Could be an interesting change. Green Arrow is a good choice for this too. Since he doesn't really have much of an origin other than "rich olympic level archer fights crime." The rest of his character has developed over time. I agree with every bit you said, but alot of people consider him the more laid back character out of the DC with his political views and such. Link to comment

Others like Iron Man only become a superhero out of greed or boredom. He's constantly pissing his friends off with his views, he is anything but laid back. Link to comment

I just said that he has an easy backstory that doesn't require much exposition. (Unless you particularly want the arrow cave.) I never meant to imply the character wasn't interesting. Link to comment

I agree that his origin doesn't need an entire movie, but I don't think they should make a 10 minute Green Arrow movie that degrades into a two hour long Prisonbreak movie with super powers. LeadingMan
Why not? This is the first time in a long time I've heard of a decent and original plot line for a movie that both sounds like a comic book and isn't made by Frank Miller. Everything else has just been a retread or someones (either the villain or the hero's) origin. I think the problem here is more that you saw Green Arrow and then leapt at the idea of a Green Arrow movie. Not that the movie is such a bad idea. It's coming off to me that you're dissapointed about a movie that no one's writing and transferring it to this. Link to comment
Natsu
I want Speedy the Smackhead in the movie also Link to comment

It should be one or the other. From the sound of things he is only being used for the sake of drawing in audiences to see an unoriginal film with a popular character. Oh, and I really don't think the plot sounds original. Like I said before, it sounds like Prisonbreak with super powers. Link to comment

I had never heard of him until one of my comic-book literate friends lent a bunch of the trade paperbacks to me. Link to comment
PMA
Eh... he's not one of the super popular JL members (Bats, Supes, WW), but I hardly think that he's unknown outside the comic community. Probably a step below The Flash in terms of knownocity (s'word), and a step above say... Martian Manhunter. Let alone his: "OMG GREEN ARROW IS SO FOINE" status ever since he started appearing on Smallville. Link to comment
Ceraziefish
Haha, I knew about the Martian Manhunter before I knew about GA. Maybe I'm just an exception, though. Link to comment
Natsu
if a Hippy was a comic character it would be fucking Oliver Queen, he's like the stoner super hero. Link to comment
