darkon
I probably will to, I love doing that. Well, yeah, there is a lot to analyze. And if you really like it you'll find yourself bursting out into complete laughter at least 10 times. A page. Link to comment
Kreutz
Catcher in the Rye. Trent Reznor doesn't have shit on Holden Caulfield. Link to comment
Samurai Drifter
Besides all the different incarnations of the Legend of King Arthur, it would have to be "What Dreams May Come" by Richard Matheson. Slaughterhouse Five is also excellent. Edited December 29, 2005 by Samurai Drifter Link to comment
Gundampilotspaz
If you ever want to discuss that book after you read it... well... let's say I've overanalyzed the entire book. I got it for Christmas and well be reading it soon as well. But my favorite book is "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" By Robert A. Heinlein. It IS the most important book ever. Link to comment
Gundampilotspaz
ummm, ok. At least I didn't pick a book I just got four days ago and most likely didn't read though yet. You really need to grow up so you can be tolerable. Link to comment
margot
Yea, except I've read it before. You need to grow up and realize that acting like an arrogant prick isn't amusing or something that well covers up your lack of personality and intelligence. Gundampilotspaz
You just laughed at my choice for favorite book, you have no right to call me an arrogant prick. At least I just didn't say "lol" and made myself out just to be a bitch. Link to comment

Mithrandir
Hmm... it's hard to say. Joyce's Portrait is definately a contender because he's such a brilliant and powerful author. Tolkien's LOTR is also there because it's such an modern day epic (in the truest mythological sense of the word epic). but Phillip K. Dick's Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said also finds itself strangely high on the list because of how it emotionally affected me (mostly a result of the fascinating characters). and The Brothers Karamazov is there too, because the ideas and characters in the book really stayed with me and gave me a new way of looking at existance. darkon
I got it for Christmas and well be reading it soon as well. Tell me what you think. Vonnegut's brand of sci-fi is very different from your hero Heinlein. I hope you get as much out of the book as I did though. Link to comment
Ceraziefish
The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin. I don't care if it's important or not, since it's a damn good book and it's important to me. Others would be Neuromancer by William Gibson, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick, and Perdido Street Station by China Mieville. EDIT: Oh, and Futureland by Walter Mosley. Edited December 29, 2005 by Ceraziefish Link to comment
