Actually water only dissolves him briefly. Fire and cement mix are his real weaknesses.

Whenever he's transformed into glass or cement he usually slips into a coma, but reverts back into sand after a while. There was one occasion where he was turned into glass, shattered, and was able to fight and move around as shattered glass.

oh god carnage! i still remember how vile he was from the animated series (the 90's one).

the one line of his i remember was when he turned his hand into an axe and was talking to venom while spider man was knocked out:

"i wonder if he can fit into a match box? i dunno, but we'll try real hard!"

Back in the day when comics were gay(happy), a vacuum would totally work againts sandman, because it's just so corny. I just hope it was a dyson vacuum, to prevent allergens and what not.

The nerd in me wants to argue the water thing too, because that way is obvious and would work, but then again this new sandman could solidify his body to an extent that water does nothing, which I highly doubt. So water is the possibility.

Venom looks fucking awesome in this movie.
