TWO teenagers who wanted to experience murder told police it "felt right" to strangle a friend and bury her body in a shallow grave beneath her West Australian home.

The 17-year-old girls, who cannot be named due to their age, today faced a sentencing hearing in Perth Children's Court after pleading guilty to murdering Eliza Jane Davis in the small coal mining town of Collie on June 18, 2006.

As the girls sat stony-faced in court today, Prosecutor Simon Stone said they had confessed that after partying with Eliza on the Saturday night they decided to kill her.

"Sunday morning me and (her) woke up, and we were just talking, and for some reason we just decided to kill her," one of the girls told police in her interview.

"We just did it because we felt like it, it is hard to explain," the other girl said.

"I knew we had wanted to kill someone before.

"We knew it was wrong, but it didn't feel wrong at all, it just felt right."

The girls planned their attack and changed into old clothes.

One of them snuck up behind Eliza as she was reading, wrapped speaker wire twice around her throat and quickly tightened it as the other held her down, trying to press a chemical soaked cloth into her mouth.

"She started not being able to get her breath, and we just kept going," one of the girls said.

"She was just yelling at us `What the f**k, what are you doing' .. `Oh you freaks, what's wrong with you psychos."

Mr Stone said they chose to strangle Eliza because one of them had to return to Perth that afternoon and they wanted a quick and "non-messy" killing.

"As our friend, we did not really want her to suffer," one told police.

"We didn't really expect to get away with it.

"We were willing to take the risk."

The girls regretted the fuss the killing caused but neither felt remorse for their dead friend, Mr Stone said.

"If she had died another way it probably would have bothered me ... but it just did not," one girl said.

The girls reported Eliza missing after they buried her and pretended to help her family look for the dead girl.

The girls turned themselves in several days later, walking into separate police stations and directing authorities to where they buried her body.

Mr Stone told the court the girls had no remorse and were holding back on the reason behind their cold-blooded, premeditated, sadistic killing.

"It is a mystery your honour, what happened."

He said the girls had discussed killing someone else and one had prepared for homicide by killing two kittens.

"Whilst together (they) will continue to pose some risk to others in custody."

Mr Stone called for sentences of life in prison.

The hearing continues tomorrow.

Well, this is horribly fucked up.

However, it is sort of nice to see girls murdering people too. I mean everyone is always like "teenage boys are so fucked up," but this goes a long way towards proving that it's just people (or more specifically teenage people).

i find girls are a little more fucked up than boys. cause when a girl is fucked up. She is fucked up. Although also true with boys. there tends to be more "middle ground"

There was actually a study done by a local news station on that awhile ago. They originally started exploring why teenage Males had higher insurance rates then teenage females, despite indisputable evidence that teenage females caused more traffic accidents, were involved in more traffic accidents, and had a higher road fatality rate then teenage males. By the end of it they were able to show that women age 16 - 24:

• We're arrested more often the males in the same age bracket.
  
• Were charged with more misdemeanours
  
• Were more often involved in incidents that required police intervention
  
• And committed more petty thefts.
  

The result? Teenage boys are still violent, reckless, and should have higher insurance premuims as far as the world is considered. [/sigh]

It's so funny because even in this day in age people refuse to see girls as violent or having the capability to kill. I mean granted, statistics still show when it comes to murder guys are still winning, but the whole "girls are too frail/precious to kill" is really well, just plain stupid. Even in Florida 10 years ago a girl had her parents killed, but claimed to "not know" they were really going to do it and claimed to be kidnapped even though she didn't try to escape. End result? The guy got the death penalty, and she didn't get indicted, and inherited a million dollars. I MEAN C'MON WTF?! Even her sister was going to testify against her.

About these girls, it kind of makes me laugh, which is bad

The worst part is I can see where they are coming from, they're probably depressed and out-of-touch 15 year old girls that saw some movie. Now even when they're 45 they're going to be in prison. Not that they should be released, but it's just sad.

haha. its quite funny actually. he's a manic depressive drunk. the funniest is when he trashed a crap load of stuff when the BBQ ran out of propane.

He's really calmed down the last few years though. i was amazed how much he's matured when i see him taking care of my step brother and step sister. His wife however is just as immature as she was when she was 14 when they started dating. yes. my dad is a pedo haha
