Food Alergies

I never really do much in this section, so now I guess I have something to rant about. I hate being alergic to so much food. It fuckin sucks. I'm pretty positive I've recently developed an alergy to bananas now too. That's along with apples, peaches, pears, all nuts, all seafood, carrots, celery, cherries, eggplant, and I can't eat peas or grapes for a long time without getting sick. I went to an alergist and was told that celery is the most serious and came out so high that it could actually kill me. Just about the only fruits I could eat now are pineapples and watermelon. I mean, I could probably get stabbed and survive, but a stick of celery could potentially kill me in the matter of an hour. Anyway, anyone else deal with this shit?

Whoa, fuck. There's like nothing you can eat. That sucks. And I thought my allergies were bad. o_o

Kitoshi, I've been suspecting I have a systemic candida infection, but I can't seem to find much info on how to get rid of those except "eat less sugar, get some acidophillus culture in your diet"

It's actually a pain in the ass to treat too. You'd also be suprised how many people suffer from candida. A FUCK LOT. Anyways, I don't know if you have a whole foods or a wild oats market around you, but if you do I could tell you what the best things to buy are. But I warn you, they will not be cheap.

Anyways, if you want to get really into it, let me know and I'll guide you along the steps. I've personally been fighting candida for a while now, and it isn't completly gone because I eat suger in large amounts at time, and it fucks me up. But for the most part it's gotten insanly better.

The basic thing to use for candida tho is probiotics, not just acidophillus. Bio-K plus or Renew Life critical care are the best, with 50 billion per serving. Also Primal defence is amazing, from garden of life.

Someone suggested my sinus/head issues are from food allergies, but I don't quite get how that would work.....

That makes perfect sense, belive it or not. I can eat diary, no problem. But I get insane sinus from it, which is considered being allergic to a certain food.

We all have allergies, we just don't know to what.

Oh, easy. You get all sorts of reactions with food allergies. I have a mild wheat allergy, and when I eat wheat it makes my sinus problems get worse (they stay at a fairly constant state of stuffiness and pain anyway because I have severe grass allergies along with mild allergies to molds, dust mites, and dogs.)

Food allergies can cause anything from stomach upset to headaches to skin rashes to your throat closing shut.

Well, I'm sure I can't afford everything, but it'd be good to know, and I could at least do some things for it.

jeez i'm sorry. =( but at least watermelon is great. !

i guess i techinically have an allergy to starchy foods. they're my favorite (pasta, rice, bread) but give me big headaches and make me really lethargic and well one time i gained like 30 pounds in 2 months just for eating a bunch of noodles.
