Siendra
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3159324 Here's hoping it doesn't go the way of other fighting franchises that made the Action-Adventure leap. Link to comment

Elitist Indie Hipster
I actually wanna play that game but granted I don't wanna spend money in buying it :awesome: my local video store had it on sale for 4.99 about a month ago. I was tempted, but then decided that even that was too much to pay for it. Link to comment
Silver Cyclone
Although SC stories have been some of my favourites ever in a fighting game. The original story of siegfried was one of my all time favourites. And I have faith in the SC team they have never disappointed me yet. So Hopefully this will rock my socks. Link to comment

Gundampilotspaz
Yes, the third Soul Caliber. And three was fine! You whore! Link to comment

Siendra
Yes, the third Soul Caliber. And three was fine! You whore! The hell it is. It was terribly balanced, the timings for stance changes made no fucking sense, none of the arenas measured up to SC2 or SC, and whatever the hell that lame strategy game thing was (It's been awhile), it absolutely sucked. Weapon Master was a lot better. So maybe if you suck at fighting games, you could get past the problems. Link to comment

I'm usually pretty good at fighters, after playing them for a while, and I thought it was fine. Link to comment

J-Stop
I actually wanna play that game but granted I don't wanna spend money in buying it :awesome: To be fair it's not that bad of a game. It's just really generic and you have to leap though hurdles of problems before getting to any of the good stuff. The pacing is horribly off too. The second boss in the game is harder then any other boss. It pits you against this asshole with duel guns in a very cramped circle with spikes for walls. Problem is that almost any move you make throws you against the spikes and causes half your health to disappear. When making a move that goes in the wrong direction, he'll shoot you into the spikes, if you manage to pull off a good move that hits him you'll probably end up throwing your legs up far enough to get hit by the spikes. The camera is no help here either, as when you finally are able to stun the boss, the camera swings back around to you and it's very difficult to line yourself up with him. Most of the time you'll just end up throwing yourself to the spikes because the camera isn't positioned well. Another boss battle that's just a nightmare to even think about again is the second fight with Anna. They stick you on a dilapidated bridge that falls apart if you stay on it too long. The boss also blocks 90% of the time too. Link to comment
Natsu
I heard that in boss fights.. that you break peoples arms and they miracusly heal and continue fighting as if it never happened. Link to comment
J-Stop
I heard that in boss fights.. that you break peoples arms and they miracusly heal and continue fighting as if it never happened. Yeah. There are parts in the game where you can pull of a great deal amount of damage by breaking someones bones. Basically the camera zooms in on a body part and goes into an x-ray style screen where you use the analog stick to pick out a bone Nina can bust apart. When you do this right Nina will do a punch or kick and the camera will zone back in on the person's bone(s) as it's shattering. It does absolutely nothing but cause massive damage to a boss or instant kill an enemy. You can even bust in a boss's skull and watch it shatter to pieces, then the boss just gets right back up as if nothing happened. Link to comment
Harrison Ford
Ivy reminds me of my grandma, which doesn't mean that my grandma looks like her, but that Ivy looks long enough to be my grandma. ZING Anyways, the only Soul calibur I liked was SC2. It has Link goodness. Link to comment
lordkuro
SC2 is superior for so many reasons, but ive really only played xbox version and I've never heard anything too grand about the others. I've been interested in seeing how a fighting game would work on wii but, judging by "this one's a third person action adventure.", it looks like i'll have to wait a little longer? Unless one has been released and im even more behind on my wii news than I thought.. Link to comment
J-Stop
I've been interested in seeing how a fighting game would work on wii Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, Bleach Wii: The Naked Sword Which Glitters to the Dance Tune, and Naruto Hurricane Chronicles: Clash of Ninja EX are fighters that have been released on the Wii. DBZ:BT2 is the only one to be released in the US so far, though. It was a launch title for the system. Link to comment
Harrison Ford
They've all been horrible as fuck. On naruto, I use the gamecube controller. On brawl, I will use the gamecube controller. Fuck the gimmick. Link to comment

Ah, thanks haha. I'll need to force someone I know with a Wii to pick up one of these titles. Was BT2 released for PS2 as well? Link to comment
