Im at the end of track 2, this album sounds like SUCH a fucking CLASSIC. For real.

The production (The dude who did Moving Pictures by RUSH), is the cleanest production I've heard on a prog album. IT's so crystal clear and smooth sounding.

While I cannot give it a number rating yet or compare it, I can def. say this is an extremely awesome and different sounding album. Alot of people on kerrazy torrents are saying stuff like "I didnt like ToT or Octavarium, but this album is great! Wasn't expecting this!" and whatnot, so some people might be interested in that comment.

It does pwn. so hard.

I haven't downloaded the album yet, but the two songs I've heard, Constant Motion and The Dark Eternal Night have not grabbed me at all. If those are any indication of the rest of the album, I'm not gonna be happy.

You will love this album. Theyre the 2 heaviest songs on it, the entire album is extremely melodic and TRIPPY

Downloading a 320 version ATM will update thread when finished.

Well actually, 128 M4A is equlivant to 192 mp3.. so thats still straight

if you have the software. check to see if it's a transcode or not, because i don't know of another leak other than the 128 kbps m4a one, meaning if you're downloading a 320, there's a good possibility that it's actually the same 128 m4a, only disguised as a 320 mp3, with bigger file sizes but the same (sometimes even a tad worse) sound quality

this album is more entertaining than octavarium. The quality of the songs are good though I fear they've lost me as a fan. The only thing I am glad is that Petrucci uses a variety of styles/riffs on this album so thats refreshing. Hopefully with more listens Ill enjoy it more.

For anyone interested in download, for cip to think a new DT album is entertaining / quality means it MUST BE GOOD.

This album is a return to classic form!

Im not going to lie but I think ONE of the only things really holding this album back from being all it can be are Labrie's vocals. Should the instrumental aspects of the songs and vocals be replaced by a different more versatile vocalist IE Steven Wilson or Morrissey (l0lz) then it would be better.

labrie really is love or hate, but since I love em it works perfectly for me.

Although, respectible comment and I beyond respect your opinion as a fellow music lover, musician and my longest lasting buddy ;)

Keeping this on loop all day, and probrably for quite a few days.. but I keep noticing little things about the songs and the wonderful production.

For the first time since Pre-Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence the bass guitar is finally way up in the mix and equally present with the other instruments (The album is equalized amazingly), with that said the bass parts are amazing and I Cannot wait to learn a bunch of them such as the awesome one from "Repentance". This album is the first album since... Falling Into Infinity to have the Bass so up in the mix and awesome sounding!

As a bassist this is total thumbs up, and as quick notes... Rudess is using some amazingly interesting "Old School" vintage style synth noises, and also alot very Spacey synth that sound very modern and trippy as balls. Portnoy has some of his most interesting drum patterns in years and as always is flawless, and finally Petrucci is writing some very inspried guitar riffs and solos with real emotions again like he used to.

Actually im inlove with Prophets of War, dream theater albumns alwatys take me a while but then i'm inlove with it after a couple listens. Happened with octovarium also.

Excellent repost your thoughts when you get a few more spins in. I think it's their best and most unique / interesting work in ages.
