~Mothers Day!~

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I realize not many people on AE are mothers (are any? O_o) but most of us have them, so what are you getting them?

I got mine a manicure/hand massage/paraffin hand bath at where I work, but I also want to get her a small present. (Not sure what that will be yet.)

So, let's see what everyone else is getting there's for ideas. << >>

well, she likes to drink and watch lifetime movies, she also studies hollistic medicine.

*Gets out the ad* The movie Because I Said So looks to be a chick flick mother thing and was just released at Best Buy this last Tuesday. I have no idea if it's good or not, because I can't stand them. (If you're looking for something super cheap look at the Best Buy ad. They have movies for $5.99 and a lot of them are pretty chicky, but it depends on if she's seen them or not.)

Does she drink to be fancy or does she resemble a drunk (or both XD.)? Where I work (JC Penneys) there's a lot of fancy bar glassware, drink compasses, shot dispensers, wine glasses, etc if she's into that sort of thing.

Maybe just get her a hollistic medicine book at Borders and keep the gift receipt so she can switch it out if it isn't the one she wants? They do free giftwrapping at least. << >>

 How can anyone hate Winterlong?!

I ask myself that daily. Hah. But it might be because of how I have only ever got a card. Maybe over the years, she realized that I was the lesser daughter, only ever producing handmade objects and homemade cards. My sister always buys her stuff. I just stopped getting her things because she would always tell me the next day how horrible her Mother's Day was because my gifts sucked, and the meals that I cooked were mediocre. I was 8. Siiiiiiiigh.

...How can you expect an 8 year old to cook a good meal? That's very sad.

It's things like that that make me glad I never had to deal with it...

She kind of reminds me of my mom's mom.

My mom likes my brother's homemade stuff better than what I buy her. XD

You deserve better.

For my Mom, I usually call her and send her a koala bear and a card..since she loves those things, and for my mother in law, we'll get her some Elvis stuff, a card..and hang out with her..and if we can't find any Elvis stuff, we usually buy her some zombie or gory movies..she loves that stuff

I think just make a homemade card and get a bar of nice chocolate. (It would be better if I had a jerb .__.)

I asked her what she wanted and she said "the death penalty"

I really do think your mother needs to fall down a flight of stairs.
