No Sad Endings
Check it out! In the interest of not being stuck at home sobbing disconsolately next weekend, I am doing some fund raising! I am now offering Tarot readings at the following rates: $3.00 for a simple 3 card "Past-Present-Future" spread. These CAN be on a particular subject, (ex: romance, job prospects,) or they can just be general readings. $5.00 for a more in-depth spread - you can ask me almost any question for these, my layouts are very flexible. Payment can be made through paypal - my paypal account is vampyress at suddenlink dot net. You may email me your query at the same address, or leave your query here (along with your email address so I can send you the reading). Note: I already have several readings in queue, so it may be tomorrow before I can start on any new ones. If you have friends who might be interested, please do point them in this direction! I am desperately in need of the monies for the con next week! Disclaimer: I don't exactly 'believe' in fortune-telling and the like, this is just a hobby of mine, and something I find to be an excellent problem-solving tool for it's ability to help one look at things from new angles. I'm not claiming to be some kind of amazing psychic or something and don't want to deceive anyone into thinking I am. Link to comment
DreamerGirl
Are you only doing them for this week then? ^^;; I cleaned out paypal. (See BPAL thread.) And can you take CC Paypal or do they charge you? Link to comment
Siendra
 Well that hit the nail on the head in a couple of important spots... Link to comment
J-Stop
And can you take CC Paypal or do they charge you? They shouldn't charge either party. Link to comment
No Sad Endings
I may continue doing it if there's enough interest, but it's an immediate and urgent need right now so I can get to animazement (which starts next friday the 25th.) And you get charged, but fees for getting paid through paypal are the norm anyway, so that's fine. Link to comment
No Sad Endings
Well that hit the nail on the head in a couple of important spots... XD It was a little creepy. They shouldn't charge either party. Huh? I've done business through paypal before and I've always had fees taken out of people's payments. Link to comment
DreamerGirl
Yeah, on the BPAL forum some won't take CC Paypal because they get charged or they charge extra for it.....? Link to comment

Oh, yeah Paypal will every time and the fee is based on how big the payment is. I was talking about the bank on which the card is from. Dreamer wouldn't be charged, though. Link to comment

Hell, I dunno, it's been a long time since I did a lot of business through paypal. I thought all the fees were the same. o_o; I'll have to go look it up. Link to comment

DreamerGirl
I just didn't want Vampy to be charged extra. ^^;; That wouldn't be fair to her. Link to comment
J-Stop
Yeah, on the BPAL forum some won't take CC Paypal because they get charged or they charge extra for it.....? The user you send money to will be charged on their Paypal account 30 cents and 2.9% to 1.9% of the payment depending on how much it was. For instance, when someone sends me $30 or so, Paypal charges me $1.17 of that right from the payment itself. So, while Vampy is charging $3/5 for readings, she's really only getting $2.70/$4.70 for them due to Paypal. Link to comment

Actually I got charged 45 cent for american payments and 50 cent for canadian payments. o.o; I'm confused. Link to comment
Samurai Drifter
Hm... on the one hand, I don't believe in this sort of thing whatsoever and it would sort of be a waste of money. On the other hand, I'm really curious. Link to comment

And Vampy, you won't laugh at people's questions, will you? XD Link to comment

On the other hand, I'm really curious. Trust me, it doesn't have to be 'magic' or 'telling the future' to be helpful. Interpreting the symbols and archetypes really provide a fresh look at the situation. Thus, tarot works, whether there's any 'magic' to it or not. That being said, most of the readings I ever do are a little creepy in how relevant they seem to the querant and his or her question. Like siendra's. o_o Wow. I probably should have been paying more attention when I sold stuff on Ebay..... And Vampy, you won't laugh at people's questions, will you? XD Of course not! XD Link to comment

Yea it's a personal one. I guess they were all paying with CC, but why were the canadian payments more than the american one? 3 canadians sent me money and it was 50 cents, the american was only 45. Siendra
I felt bad about the charge. I sent a couple of dollars to cover it. Link to comment
DreamerGirl
Actually Vampy, it says you have a premier account.... @.@ Can I just PM you my question or is that a pain? Link to comment
No Sad Endings
I felt bad about the charge. I sent a couple of dollars to cover it. You don't need to do that! I mean, I may be ignorant about the exact costs, but I knew there'd be fees, I've done business with paypal before. XD Actually Vampy, it says you have a premier account.... @.@ Can I just PM you my question or is that a pain? Sure you can pm it! I think premier just means I'm verified and have had a lot of successful transactions through paypal - I certainly don't have a paid account. A business account is what lowers the CC charges, but a business account is expensive. Link to comment

It's an exchange fee. He was probably paying you in CAD. They charge you 2.5% extra for that. Premier accounts get burned with this fee too. Link to comment
