Wind
Well any who, when my cd is released I'm going to use my new style of copy protection. If the album is attempted to be turned into mp3s, each song will be turned into a song such as the one below. I eat Pudding http://www.accelerated-e.com/Galexia/Art/FakeSong.mp3 Discus!s edit - I give my album to free anyway, I'm going to leak it on kerrazy when its truley finished. This is a joke cuz of how cool the idea would be to rip songs off a cd and have them be complete piles of random shit. *added because some people obviously don't know my personality, and behind maxor I am the second worst poster in the history of the internet* Link to comment

lordkuro
Congratulations on being part of the problem instead of part of the solution. If anything you should be handing out copies. Copy protection is a cancer. I enjoyed the track though! :awesome: Link to comment

lordkuro
He is...sorta. I meant more of an open-trunk-full-of-cds deal. There aren't nearly enough people handing out free shit on the street these days. Link to comment
Ceraziefish
^I actually run into them fairly often. The problem is good musicians don't do it enough. so far its my favorite track True dat, homey. Link to comment
eleet
Not to bust your balls here or anything, but I've never heard of a copy protection system to date where you try and rip something and it turns into something else. I think what you're trying to do is technologically impossible if you want the CD to be safe from being ripped by a computer, but still play in your average CD player. And secondly, even if you did manage to get it to work, do keep in mind there hasn't been a copy protection system to date (20 years) that hasn't been shattered into a million pieces in just a few months time. Millions of dollars were dumped into HD-DVD and Blu-Ray copy protection and where are those two now? They're both extremely easily circumvented. I understand where you're coming from, being an up and coming artist and all, but piracy isn't pure evil. How many artists have you discovered because you downloaded their album online? Would you have risked wasting your money buying a few CDs from a few artists you've never even heard of? I bet you'd be much more willing to spend 15 minutes downloading their album via Bittorrent. Try to see the big picture. Link to comment
stranger
i completely agree with e:/leet, about the 'discovering artists online bit', and the 'crazy file protection method won't work bit' ... and every other bit. thanks for not making me type that d00d :headbang: Link to comment

The same thing happened to me when I ripped the new Type O Negative, only it wasn't copy-protection. Sorry, had to do it... Link to comment
