DreamerGirl
So, "Band Camp" is a somewhat large concert they have every year in Madison. I believe this is the fourth year they've had it, and I go every year. Acts this year are- In This Moment Burden Brothers Stone Sour Sevendust Nonpoint Finger Eleven Kittie Deaf Pedestrians Black Light Burns Skillet They're still announcing more. It's not the best lineup ever, but I'm looking foward to it. Especially since this will be the first year I can get my own drinking bracelet instead of getting one from legal people! XD Previous acts have been- Anew Revolution Breaking Point Chevelle Crossfade Dammage Plan Dope Dropbox Drowning Pool Earshot Everything At Once Flaw Flyleaf Hinder Hurt Kicking K8 Life Of Agony Mighty Sideshow Ra Saliva Soil Staind Taproot Three Days Grace (I realize no one else here listens to most of this, but I wanted to squee). And Faulty- DON'T SAY IT. Link to comment

darkon
A day of music and substance abuse?! I never care who is playing in those situations. I want to get messed up enough to shout, "FUCK YEAH FINGER ELEVEN!!!!!!" Too bad I'm not going. Link to comment
DreamerGirl
could you take some picture of In This Moment for me? Sure. I'll try at least. You can usually get pretty close in the drinking area. (Which is probably where I'll be most of the time. XD ) The Christian rock group? My girlfriend listens to them. I really like Skillet... ...And I completely miss the religious part of their music. ^^;; I mean, if I got it I'd probably not be so much a fan. The best part about this event is you recognize a ton of people. Link to comment
FaultyClockwork
I'd hate to recognize tons of people who paid money to see Stone Sour. :awesome: Link to comment

FaultyClockwork
I'd respond to the "Go get laid" line but it'd be genuinely mean. Link to comment

Mine was mean but I was hoping you'd know it was a joke because I like ya even though you completely hate my music tastes and apparently never wanted me to join AE. :whistling: Link to comment

FaultyClockwork
I would argue that just as many, if not MORE black metal bands are victim to the exact same thing. Most Black Metal bands don't really have a "message" though in the sense of Christian bands. Mostly NS and the rare Christian BM bands. Also Black Metal is such a super-saturated genre... Just because the message isn't as outspoken as in Christian music, doesn't mean there isn't some ideological bond between bands of the blackened persuasion. Hell, I think its WORSE in the case of black metal... in that there isn't a message that supercedes the music, there's a fucking IMAGE. Link to comment
FaultyClockwork
A lot of bands that focus too much on image turn out ghey, yeah. Link to comment
