darkon
Today is the 40th birthday of one of rock's most legendary albums. Its release in the height of the Summer of Love is one of the defining time periods of rock history and the counter-culture movement of the 1960's. So let's discuss this album. My favorite song on it would have to be "A Day in the Life" since it's my favorite Beatles song period. But "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" deserve honorable mention. Link to comment

Ceraziefish
One of the Beatles' Anthology albums has a bunch of versions of various songs on that album before they got into post-production. I like most of them a lot more. I mean, A Day In the Life is a great track, and I can't listen to the album version because there's so much crap mixed in. Same thing with the reprise of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. ...I like Revolver more, too. Link to comment
