LeadingMan
Attempting to break free from the standard and boring old fantasy MMO, SOE has announced "The Agency" for the PC and PS3. Taking visual cues from the Incredibles and James Bond, the agency is about the interaction between to factions, paraGON and U.N.I.T.E. Two rival espianage organizations with very different agendas. paraGON is described as rockstar mercs who don't care who or what they have to kill or how loud they have to be while doing it. Imagine a team of Rambos. U.N.I.T.E. is the much more typical James Bond spy, with cool gadgets, stealthy moves, and charisma. According to all the videos and screens I've seen of gameplay it appears to play much like an FPS. However there is experience and levelling, and apparently you gain exp by completing missions for your faction rather than by simply killing enemies. (Which makes sense to keep the stealthy spies gaining exp.) The devs explain they are going for a pick up, play, and have fun style of game. The question is, how much depth will there be? Anyways, here's some screens of it in a pretty rough state: It looks quite a bit better in action. Like for example, here. Anyways, I'm pretty excited for the idea and I hope it turns out well. We need a good MMOFPSRPG, and Planetside doesn't count. Plus, another thing to play on my PS3. Score. Link to comment

LeadingMan
Yeah really disappointed. To be fair they wasted a lot of time without showing anything. It almost seemed doomed. =( Oh well, could have been fun. There's really not enough cheesy spy games. Link to comment
Siendra
Unfortunate. The concept was cool. Link to comment
