Walmart Sucks

Recommended Posts

swimtrunks for 15 bucks?

Um... everything I listed cost 15 dollars altogether. The trunks were $2.50 (end of season sale).

And if being a poor college student, who needs to buy cheap ass clothes to get by, makes me suck... then turn on the mother fuckin vacuum, cuz here comes the suck.

I haven't been to a Wal-Mart in such a long time. Last I heard, they had a grocery inside their store.

Not here. They have some stuff like milk and TV diners, but so do gas stations. The Government wont let them open super stores up here.

And bah:

Zellers >>>>>> Walmart.

I can grab a pair of jeans, a pack of socks, some boxers, and a T-shirt at Zellers for $15-$20. And none of it is store brand crap. Oh, and they sell 2-litre bottles of pop three ofr $0.83 at the end of the month. *Drool*

Socialism!

As much as I hate walmart, and such superstores, they have a right to open up whatever business they wish.

Actually, the city has say over what gets built. Just like my town has turned down two major factories, Best Buy, Target, etc.

Also, cities can just be a pain in the ass if they don't want something, like when about 30 people here got together and bought some land outside of town for a BMX park. They got the land and started construction, and the city sent in the lawyers, auditors, licensors, and the local union. The people ended up selling the land to an adjacent farmer and going to the bike park two towns over. The city could have had a place for youths to go to constructively release their energy, but instead they got two latino gangs, a graffiti problem, and metal detectors for the high school. Bureaucracy by the people, against the people.

SOCIALISM!

There was a like situation in my town where all of the socailists wanted to keep a dairy superstore out of the town. However, these same poeple didn't have a problem with Target and Best Buy went in on the other side of town, why? Didn't effect them as much. Fucking socalist hippocryte bastards.

why exactly do you want evil gigantic corporations to take over small town businesses and fuck over the general populace?

In Theory, people would choose small business before the large corporations. I do when I can.

However, that is none of my concern. Thus is the way of Capitalism.

Uhh... that goes against basic economic theory.

People tend to choose to buy a product at the lowest possible price.

That's not socialism, man. That's trying to keep a superstore out of your town for no good reason.

You see, just because people are socialists doesn't mean EVERYTHING they do is socialist.

It has nothing to do with Socialism. It has to do with the way businesses can patent their functions up here. Since we already have a "Super Store" chain, Walmart was unable to support the arguement that their new stores would be any different.

And yes, Denise, the stores have some groceries. No produce, deli, or bakery though.

Yeah, I used to work at Wal-mart until just a month ago. I hated that job so much. It was tolerable and even sometimes enjoyable when my girlfriend worked there too. She got me the job, after all.

But then she quit and the job really really sucked. The customers that go in there are the worst people I've ever had to deal with in my life, and thats only the ones that actually speak English.

I have so many memories of that place now, most all of them are bad... And now... the ones that used to be good, just became bad.

The walmart in out town is perfectly fine. Hell in video games alone our local EB was selling Tales of Symphonia for 39.99 and walmart was selling it for 18.97. THere are barely any people in our walmart at all times as well, so i guess that helps a little.
