rockerluke
I know people have different feelings about him. Some praise him as a god, some bash him. But I'd like to know the reasons. No matter what anybody else say about him, I still like him and I consider him as one of my favorite writers. His books are so damn catchy. Link to comment
Mithrandir
I'd say that he's a hack. He's got talent but he cares too much about profit and not enough about what he's writing. Of the books in The Dark Tower series that I've read, some parts have very good writing, but other portions of it read just like any trashy best seller. darkon
He has talent. He doens't use it much anymore. He sells on name and the formulatic style. He's just writing now for the sake that it's a job, an occupation. Not for the sake of writing. Link to comment
Elitist Indie Hipster
I might be wrong, but i think he has original ideas, and that in alot of cases work. For example the book IT. I mean sure he goes a little too far in the end. But i still like it. As for the dark tower series, i am halfway through the first book, and i find it very very addicting. Link to comment
R.T.
eh, as with any writer that writes so much there is always the danger of getting stale or trite *cough*Tom Clancy*cough* ...but King did some great stuff, especially at the beginning. My God...he destroyed my favorite spot at camp the year I read The Raft. bastard Link to comment
The Diabetic
He was good, til he wrote his "ending" for DT, and left half the shit he was gonna do in it, out. Plus the ending that didn't end blew ass. Link to comment
