Galkar
About once a month I check ebay to look at the Gitaroo Man auctions and wish that I had enough money to buy those "cheap" used copies that sold of 80 bucks, or even a sealed copy for 120+. Yesterday, I checked again, and do m surprise and immense joy, I found that the prices were now about 30 bucks. Looking around, I saw a buy it now for a sealed copy of the game from a reputable seller for 43 dollars after shipping. Needless to say, I purchased it, but it left me wondering why the prices would have dropped so drastically all of a sudden. Does anyone know what's up with this? Link to comment
David
I suppose all the Gitaroo Man players moved onto Guitar Hero, and people decided that $120 was too much for a sealed copy of Gitaroo Man. Edited January 7, 2006 by SvM_Zoicoll Link to comment

Blasphemy...there is never too much for a gem of the game known as Gitaroo Man..if people had been smart and kept the original then well ya know the rest.. and GM is never dead.. and this Guitar Hero is jus a pale comparison. J-Stop
There was a "re-print" of sorts. It's not a real re-print, more along the lines of Koei just having more left over that they never sent out to stores. Around some time last month a few stores got in a few copies of it. Same thing happened with REZ, so, don't be suprised if the price sky rockets again soon. Link to comment

Ask not whether Gitaroo Man is worth $120... Ask if you are worthy of owning Gitaroo Man. Link to comment
Excel
If one could combine Guitar Hero and Gitaroo Man, then it would be pure gaming nirvana. As it is, me and my friends still play Gitaroo Man from time to time to rock out on Resurrection. Link to comment

The way I see it, Guitar Hero is to Gitaroo Man as Star Wars is to Star Trek. Cooler extra stuff (Star Wars Expanded Universe), but the core of Star Trek is better. Link to comment

Alundra
Look what I came acroos at EB today for 40$. Girl that rung me up said it was the only copy they got in for over a year. Forgive the shameless Chobot reference. Link to comment

Excel
I got my copy the day it came out at Electronics Boutique. I still have the "NEW RELEASE" sticker on it. Link to comment
Venom112
And I shall pass down to my grandkids the tale of when I found Gitaroo Man at Best Buy for 12 dollars. Yep, back in my day we used controllers, we didn't inject nanomachines into their bloodstream for electronic highs. Link to comment
Ceraziefish
Looks like Koei's giving a second chance to all the people who, for various reasons (most of them bad), didn't get the game when it first came out. Link to comment
Wind
Debating wether I should ever get it. Link to comment

Tanni Foemangler
seriously dude, just go for it. if you don't like the game there are hundreds of people out there who'd be more than happy to take it off your hands Link to comment
Galkar
Exactly. I was kicking myself for not buying it several months ago when the price was around 90 new, and when I went on ebay and saw this, I was going to buy, regardless of price, because I knew that I would forever regret it if the prices reached a completely unreasonable range before I bought it. EDIT: Or I'll buy it from you for whatever you paid for it, just so I can have 2 copies. Link to comment

Ceraziefish
Yes, you should. Hell, I'm considering going and buying a new copy of it on Monday. Because that idea of having a sealed copy buried with me is just too cool. I don't care if I'm stealing it from U-1... It's just too cool. Link to comment
