Ideas for new by post title system

Hey guys, I was thinking how it would be cool to create a new title system by numbers of post someone has, for example right now when someone starts off they are titled "noob" and whe they get 300 posts or somthing theyre titled "post whore"

Now this doesnt seem enough for me, so I was thinking of creating a many step system with a whole bunch of various titles and whatnot. at first I was thinking making it kind of RPG based and making it like all rpg related, but I don't really know. I'm open to all ideas before I change anything, just dont suggest ideas to be pure random. Suggest things to me like this.

0 posts - title

50 posts - title

150 posts - title

etc etc

( although it doesnt have to be that number of posts, be creative and surprise me, once we all figure out some cool ideas I will impliment them )

I don't really like the idea of ranking people based on how many posts they have.

it shouldn't be thier "rank" so to say, but it should be more like thier reputation or something, like vB does. like 0-50 posts will be something like "newb", then like 50-250 could be like "Member", 250-500 could be "Well known" and so on.

however i agree with mith and burb, a person shouldn't be ranked because of how much they spam, because as we all know, the usuaul RT people have alot more posts than the people who lurk in, say, video games.

Your rank changes based on a combonation of page views, posts, logins, and total time logged in. MEaning someone can change rank even if they7 don't post at all. It's a neat system that makes it nearly impossible to track when you will change level, so it's sort of a "Suprise!"

Your name colour also changes, which is cool.

That's why I suggeested what I did. It doesn't matter that you only have 60 posts, you could still be at the same level as I am.

Well people who want a custom title can still get a custom title, but these are to replace the generic "Noob" "Member" "bettter member" or whatever theyre set to.

If people really dont want them, then we dont need to impliment them. It shouldn't be a big deal though since most people will use custom titles, but I kind of saw it as a cool thing for people who either dont want a custom title or who dont know that you can ask for one :laugh:
