Crube
So, when are we going to expect the ending to InuYasha? As much as I like it... it had too many filler episodes. Thoughts? Link to comment
TeleportSandwich
...damn, for once I thought someone had made a thread about Eureka Seven. Anyway it if ends anything like Ranma 1/2 ended, it will undoubtable be shitty. I blame the Shounen Sunday editors though, forcing Takahashi to prolong the series until it no longer becomes a lucritive franchise. Same thing happened with DBZ if I remeber correctly. Siendra
No idea. Probably some idle cliff hanger that will continue through other sources. Link to comment

DBGT killed Dragon Ball... That and Frieza Bot and the Majin Buu crap. Link to comment
TeleportSandwich
DBGT killed Dragon Ball... That and Frieza Bot and the Majin Buu crap. Toriyama had nothing to do with GT. Hell, the editors basically forced him to continue the manga past the Frieza arc. So ya, Cell and Buu were basically arcs he pulled out of his ass just to comply with the Shounen Jump editors Link to comment

Samurai Drifter
I thought InuYasha did end, at episode 167. From what I've heard, it was a "to be continued in the manga" ending. Or are you talking about the manga? Link to comment

Venom112
InuYasha will likley end with Naraku being defeated, Miroku being cured, Sango being put at peace with her inner turmoil, and Kagome staying in the past with InuYasha. Also, consider how awesome it would be for Kagome and InuYasha to have kids which hundreds of years later would become a family of priests that would have a household on top of a mysterious well. That's causation for you! I suppose the Shikon no Tama will be completely constructed and then purified, or not, it's really more of a macguffin than anything. I think it would be cooler if Miroku and Naraku were sucked into his black hole hand, but that seems unlikely. Toriyama had nothing to do with GT. Liar! He helped with character designs. Hell, the editors basically forced him to continue the manga past the Frieza arc. So ya, Cell and Buu were basically arcs he pulled out of his ass just to comply with the Shounen Jump editors However, He didn't HAVE to continue on. He could have ended. Consider the income one could make from a sure thing though Haya. They may have pressured and talked him into it, but Toriyama was the guy who moved it along of free will (course that depends upon whether or not a contract of some sort was involved, but it seems unlikely). Venom112
The sitution with the manga is sorta like that~ I suppose, but it should be noted that the authors don't actually have to drag the story on, it's just easy money, so they keep on doing it of their own free will. Technically it's called selling out, but it is easy money, I know I would do the same. Link to comment
No Sad Endings
I think Rumiko Takahashi doesn't do it for money as much as she gets stuck and doesn't know where to take the damn thing xD Link to comment

That's causation for you! Yeah but were talking about anime now and when was the last time you've seen a series that ended in a way that made any kind of practical or un-speculative sense? Or end in a happy, unambiguous way for that matter. As for Inu-Yasha and Kagome being together well... In anime, the laws of time (and other such forces) are one of those things which never seem to be broken. *coughescaflownecough* Link to comment
