Blarg. I've never used pay pal before and I'm getting confused. How do I use it to pay for things via transfers from the pay pal account? There should be an account number or something, but I can't flipping well find it.

you wanna pay for something via pay pal? Umm... if there is an option to pay with pay pal then you just hit that option, then all you need is your username and password.. I think i'm understanding wrong

where are you trying to purchase from? And is it the site that you're purchasing from that's asking for the account number? Maybe they mean bank account number

Pay Pal needs your bank account number in order to access your checking or savings account. Don't give anyone your bank account number!

Yeah, you need to attach an account for Paypal to even work, it's basically an extension of an existing account.

There is usually a link that people forward in E-Mails (i.e. EBay) that allow you to make direct payment. You should be able to make a payment manually by going to the Payments tab in your user home and direct the payment to another Paypal account.

No, the accounts were linked - I'd already transferred money. The place wanted something else. It's all done now.
