Definitely one of the better Soul/R&B singers from the 60's.... Well, I know his work and those of his contemporaries. One of the pioneers of mixing both rock, soul and blues to give us that unique R&B sound. The stuff people consider R&B now is more hip-hop than anything else. Seems all the great blues and blues-influenced artists are slowly dying off. Link to comment
