Makil
Soooooooo glad I'm not like that despite how much I love playing D&D. Link to comment
Ceraziefish
Apparently they play Vampire, too. Or at least they did during High School. Clan Brujah! Link to comment
Galkar
Brujah is lame. It's all about Toreador and that other one that I played who's name escapes me right now. Link to comment
Ceraziefish
Whatever, Vampire sucks anyway. Link to comment
Poophy
I wish that this was a joke… sadly enough I don’t think that these guys were joking… I stopped after like 5 minuets… I found this too horrifying! Note: I have decided, largely based on this film, to play football again next year… Link to comment

Arcane
That was pretty good stuff. I've been a gamer pretty much all my life, so I've had the misfortune of meeting plenty of people like that who lack even the simplest social skills. They are so god damn annoying. A friend of mine tried starting of a roleplaying club at my college (which failed miserably by the way), and people like that just came out of the wood work. I may sound kind of mean, but the "extreme hardcore" gamers like those portrayed in the film act like such assholes... Link to comment
TeleportSandwich
I remember I tried geting into roleplaying once. I lost intrest after I found out I had no one to play with. Plus, my attention span can be measured in miliseconds~ Link to comment
Galkar
MALCAVIAN! they are the best Have you seen the Malkavian clanbook? A lot of it is written upside-down and backwards and in spirals and stuff, it's pretty cool. Link to comment

Oh man, I hate it when they write in spirals. There's something like that in the new Mage book. I feel like an idiot rotating the book around in my hands while I'm reading it... Link to comment
Ceraziefish
Malkavians are cool, but it's all about Toreador. What's better than elitist artfag vampires? Nothing, I tell you. Nothing. Also, my current GM has blessed my group for not being uptight. Like, he used to play with people like the above, those whose campaigns are a complex tapestry of themes too advanced for the hobbie gamer, while now he's playing with us, the guys who all laugh when the sorcerer uses Prestidigitation to make green smoke come out of his ass. I don't think all of them are assholes, I talk to a few online because I've met them on message boards or whatever. Sometimes they get annoying, but then it's because I remember that I'm one of their three friends and I feel better about myself. What's annoying is the fact that, I played D&D with just ONE of these kids so my experience is limited, they are ass holes when it comes to how the game should be played. He was so controlling and proud that he knew the book inside and out and was using a set of dice that cost him upwards of 80 dollars. Link to comment
Wind
Yeah I was actually rather wondering now that I have so much excess money if I should get Into Warhammer 40K. Link to comment
Ceraziefish
Yeah I was actually rather wondering now that I have so much excess money if I should get Into Warhammer 40K. I used to play 40K. If you want my advice, and you're going to play one of those games, play WARMACHINE. I personally think it's a better game. However, 40K does have very cool models, awesome fluff, and great art in the books. It's just waaay more expensive than it reasonably should be (even counting the random markups that these companies do). And, Darkon, I know what you mean about people being short with new players. It's unfortunate. I don't get angry with them but I don't let them join my games at the drop of a hat, mostly because we don't get to play very often and it takes a long time to indoctrinate someone to the faith. That being said, I do like having new players. Link to comment

The thing about if I played 40K would be my local comic book shop constantly has people playing there, and they have a huge table with tons of terrain and buildings. The owner plays religiously. (he also plays Magic, and they have friday night tournements there.. it's a great place) Link to comment

I don't know many people quite that bad, though a good amount of my friends are or were nearly complete social recluses (myself included). Link to comment

If more people in your area play 40K, of course, go with that. These games are more fun with good players, so even though I like the WARMACHINE mechanics more I'd rather play 40K with good people than WARMACHINE with assholes. In my case, it's the exact opposite. WARMACHINE was invented in Seattle and everyone plays it here. I just don't have the money to support a large army. And 40K is still a fun game, don't get me wrong. Link to comment
