I have to admit, it looks good. However, the decrease in size is only possible if GBA support is axed. Still, everytime they do this, it feels like a gigantic "FUCK YOU!"

I was a bit angry at first, because every time I turned on the telly, I saw a line of jeans going by on an assembly line being filled with the slender younger, cooler looking Game Boy Pocket. Humorously almost 2 weeks ago I was debating on whether or not to purchase a GameBoyDS, but then I noticed it had been out for a little over a year, which means that very soon a price drop, limited edition, or new version was on the horizon. Hurrah!

This slightly bothers me, but it seems the design isnt totally overhauled so it doesnt bother me too much.

pretty much. nintendo has (if you count this new DS) 4 active handhelds. the brighter SP, the micro, the DS, and this new DS.

i got my regular SP then nintendo announced the DS a few weeks later. =/

Just like I'd prefer a regular old I Pod over a Nano. I can't imagine a smaller DS being more comfortable either.

I challenge you to say that when your hands are the size of a five year olds. I can't comftorably hold my DS for more then fifteen minutes.

But it is clearly from the Gameboy line, so even if they call it a Nintendo DS, it is really a GameBoyDS, no matter what anyone says.

My DS is fine.

This is more like the leap from SP -> Micro than it is from GBA -> SP. The GBA had some glaring flaws, this just seems like an aesthetic thing to get more girls and iPod-kids in to the system.

The DS does have flaws. The design is terrible for somebody with small hands like myself. And honestly, the dimensions aren't all that portable.

The GBA SP was a huge improvement over the original GBA, but this new DS doesn't really look much different. It looks pretty much the same, only smaller. Normally redesigns make me feel short-changed, but in this case, I'm not really bothered.
