Siegfried
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n10/news/060126.html What did I tell you guys? Now I'm definately getting one of these babes. And Sonic Rush (if there are no more Phoenix Wrights). Link to comment
HappyLittleBoozer
Nintendo does not need 4 active handhelds on the fucking market. They're going to flood the damn thing. Link to comment
Wind
Uhh doesnt really look all that different / unique? Link to comment
Siendra
I have to admit, it looks good. However, the decrease in size is only possible if GBA support is axed. Still, everytime they do this, it feels like a gigantic "FUCK YOU!" Link to comment
John
As long as DSes get cheaper I'm fine with it. I've been wanting to pick one up. Link to comment
Ceraziefish
I know what you mean. I never got an SP because they were announced about a day after I got my GBA. Still, is it really going to have any new features? Link to comment
Gundampilotspaz
Fuck you, Nintendo. They always wait 'til I buy a handheld, and then release a smaller version. Link to comment
Venom112
Still, everytime they do this, it feels like a gigantic "FUCK YOU!" They do this everytime though, ever since the original Game Boy, so it is expected by now... Game Boy: Yyyep *rocks in rocking chair* I remember getting the pink slip, telling them I was being pushed aside for smaller versions of me! I was a bit angry at first, because every time I turned on the telly, I saw a line of jeans going by on an assembly line being filled with the slender younger, cooler looking Game Boy Pocket. Bah! *waves cane* They didn't know how tough a guy like me had it! I paved the frontier fer that dern thing. Course now the grudge is over, eh Game Boy Pocket? Game Boy Pocket: *adjust glasses* Baaaah Game Boy Color! *reaches for meds, which are various AA batteries* Fuck you, Nintendo. They always wait 'til I buy a handheld, and then release a smaller version. Humorously almost 2 weeks ago I was debating on whether or not to purchase a GameBoyDS, but then I noticed it had been out for a little over a year, which means that very soon a price drop, limited edition, or new version was on the horizon. Hurrah! Link to comment
Wind
This slightly bothers me, but it seems the design isnt totally overhauled so it doesnt bother me too much. (I got mine for X-mas..) Link to comment
Siendra
Whatever, I'll just trade mine in when the time coems. My start button is a little stiff anyway. And with my small hands, a slimmer design = win. Link to comment
thebornotaku
pretty much. nintendo has (if you count this new DS) 4 active handhelds. the brighter SP, the micro, the DS, and this new DS. i got my regular SP then nintendo announced the DS a few weeks later. =/ Link to comment
Crube
I thought it was a NINTENDO DS... and NOT a GAMEBOY DS. Link to comment
Excel
Now my used DS looks even shittier. Ah, hell. Link to comment
Siendra
Just like I'd prefer a regular old I Pod over a Nano. I can't imagine a smaller DS being more comfortable either. I challenge you to say that when your hands are the size of a five year olds. I can't comftorably hold my DS for more then fifteen minutes. Link to comment
Venom112
I thought it was a NINTENDO DS... and NOT a GAMEBOY DS. But it is clearly from the Gameboy line, so even if they call it a Nintendo DS, it is really a GameBoyDS, no matter what anyone says. Link to comment
Mithrandir
Game Boy Pocket: *adjust glasses* Baaaah Game Boy Color! *reaches for meds, which are various AA batteries* Gameboy Pocket runs on AAA batteries. Link to comment
Venom112
Gameboy Pocket runs on AAA batteries. He's retired and old, you can't expect him to grab the correct medication all the time. You act like old people have never made mistakes before. Link to comment
Hero
It looks too small, too cramped, and doesn't look like it can take a beating. My DS is fine. This is more like the leap from SP -> Micro than it is from GBA -> SP. The GBA had some glaring flaws, this just seems like an aesthetic thing to get more girls and iPod-kids in to the system. And honestly, the dimensions aren't all that portable. Link to comment
stranger
Hmm, maybe i'll finally get one Link to comment
Ceraziefish
Maybe this will lower the price of the DS to the point where I can get one. Link to comment
Siegfried
So I guess I was right all along about holding off untill this announcement. Guess this time I'll be getting one. Micro's LCD kicks ass. Link to comment
Akito
The GBA SP was a huge improvement over the original GBA, but this new DS doesn't really look much different. It looks pretty much the same, only smaller. Normally redesigns make me feel short-changed, but in this case, I'm not really bothered. Link to comment
