Help with a topic~

:O Yar~ For my Ancient & Medieval Civilization class, I need to pick a topic for a research project. The problem is, there's so many topics that I'm rather flustered on what to do. D:

So if anybody can give me suggestions on what or who I should research on, I would love you eternally~ :D

The topic I picked (but couldn't use, since it had already been taken) was the Onin War in the Ashikaga period of Japan (13th century, I believe). There are also the Incans, Mayans, etc. of Central America that I'll probably end up doing.

So those are some good topics, or ideas at least.

I don't know of a book on the subject but I saw on the history channel of tons of advancements that didn't come back around until recently. Brain surgery being the most impressive.

I would use those, but my class deals with the Western Civ. :/

I may be a little off on the timing, but you could talk about the spread of Christianity through Europe.

Also, the Crusades. I know there was this whole thing where Arabic scientists kept the knowledge of the Greeks alive (some of it, anyway) while Europe was doing the whole 'barbaric mess' thing for a thousand years or so.
