The Cowboy Bebop live action movie thread

So at some point thier is going to be a live action Cowboy Bebop movie. A screenplay is already in the works and Ted Theodore Logan AKA Keanu Reeves is going to be playing Spike. In this thread we post all articals, speculation, and generally gripe about how Hollywood will no doubte fuck this up. Here is an interview with the screenwriter:

Keanu has the look but not the acting skills to pull off spike imo. Spike is a little complex for "mr. nothing but apathetic characters"

Really though, Cowboy Bebop was largely about style, so I think the movie could be good if done with a great soundtrack (preferably composed by Yoko Kanno), over-the-top style, space battles, martial arts, and a touch of noir.

Either way, I'll be at the premiere, most likely dressed as Spike.

I am sure they can work on that. Plus, Vin Diesel can make a good movie only bad guy in this.

exactly. Spike is the ultimate laid back cool. kicks ass without breaking a sweat or even changing facial expressions. Keanu is more like,".... hello there, i am- FUCK YOU!*shoot*"
