Wind
I've been curious to check it out, but I never really got around to it. I think GPS downloaded the season or somthing. Link to comment
Samurai Drifter
I'm almost done with the first season. It's very, very good. Link to comment
Baltar
I downloaded all the episode after some friends told me about it. My School doesn't get Sci-Fi so I have them all downloaded. Link to comment
Arcane
I just got finished watching the opening miniseries. I thought it was pretty good, it hooked me enough to continue on watching the series. Link to comment
Samurai Drifter
One wonders why Sci-Fi makes good TV series but horrible excuses for movies. Link to comment
Baltar
They enjoy the stereo-typed moves I guess. "Man with the Screaming Brain" and "Alien Apocalypse" were awseome though. Link to comment
Arcane
I'm halfway through the first season now. I have been thoroughly impressed. Link to comment
Ceraziefish
They enjoy the stereo-typed moves I guess. "Man with the Screaming Brain" and "Alien Apocalypse" were awseome though. That's because 1. Bruce Campbell is a god and 2. The Man With the Screaming Brain was not made by Sci-Fi, just paid for by it so they could call it a Sci-Fi Original movie. SG-1 is great, I asked my friend to burn some Battlestar for me. I've never watched it. Link to comment
Nega-Brent
I love the new show, it's great. It's easily one of the greatest sci-fi series ever. Link to comment
Arcane
I'm fully caught up with the show now. I watched the second half of season 1 and all of season 2 so far in 3 or 4 days a couple weeks ago. I may actually be able to watch it on real TV tonight since I'll be at home where I have the SciFi channel. As far as TV scifi/drama shows go, Battlestar Galactica has essentially become my favorite. In fact, I'd say it's my favorite non-comedy/animated TV show on right now. Link to comment
Nega-Brent
I love the cast. Edward James Olmos is terrific, not too mention the first lady from Independence Day, and the homophobic father from The L Word. Link to comment
Mithrandir
I never had much interest in watching it. Military based science fiction has always given me a weird feeling. That authoritarian air just puts me off. Link to comment
Samurai Drifter
Military based science fiction has always given me a weird feeling. That authoritarian air just puts me off. Sure the military stuff is a background, but mostly it's about the psychological tension between the humans and the cylons. Link to comment
Artie
yea this series came as a shock to me. i thought they would never make a new battlestar series after the old one. i belive ths new one takes place after the old series, still, the old series was a si-fi classic. but yea i have seen a few of these new episodes i thought them to be rather good. like Arsinol said the acting is great. Baltar
The Season Finalle was Amazing. It opened a lot of doors and tied quite a few loose ends up. Link to comment
Arcane
Military based science fiction has always given me a weird feeling. That authoritarian air just puts me off. Well one of the major themes of Battlestar Galactica is the tension between the civilian government and the military, who hold all the power, but choose not to run a totalitarian regime. I just watched the season 2 finale. It was excellent and completely took me off guard. Link to comment

I don't know, when they staged a coup at the end of the first season it was getting damn close. Link to comment
Arcane
I don't know, when they staged a coup at the end of the first season it was getting damn close. Well yeah, but the point I was trying to make was that the show doesn't flaunt military authoritarianism and that much of the show is about trying to preserve civil freedoms in the face of a gigantic disaster. Nega-Brent
The Season 2.5 finale was really good. They are so screwed, I can't imagine how they're going to get out of that mess. Link to comment

Baltar
A major issue was abortion because removing that freedom would make the Humans closer to the Cylons, despite the fact there are only 50,000 humans left in the universe. Link to comment
