margot
If you're not in college: what colleges do you want to attend? And why??? What do you want to major in? why? If you are in college: did you get into your first choice? What is college like? Do you enjoy it? What are you majoring in? I want to go to Reed because innovative teaching methods (discussion groups outside ect, they don't show you your grades, teachers just write extensive comments on your papers), really heavy workload (like 600 pages a weekend for just one class), quirky/intellectual people, Portland, no frats/soroities (I have a policy against them !) ect. I don't know about second/third choice colleges, it is heart breaking to not end up in Reed. Also I want to major in Philosophy because it teaches me new perspectives/requires me to actually think and that's the most important thing considering I want to write. Link to comment
amy
I dunno I haven't really researched, I kind of want to go to Bowdoin cause like 83% of the students are in the Outdoors Club and that's amazing but it's not in a city ._. And I have to go to a college in the city or else I'll never live in the city and I'll never be able to like talk to black people lol or anyone really so i'll never be a teacher xD Actually Boston University seems like perfect for me, but my mom went there, and she says it was really expensive for not a good education. In that case I am thinking Tufts?? But I think that's a really good school I can't get into. But all the Ivy kids apply there and get rejected, and it's called "Tufts Syndrome", they accept the kids they know will attend, and I think I could "want to go to Tufts" pretty badly if I tried and applied early decision and stuff. P.S. Don't be discouraged by the name!! I swore never to go to Tufts for a while cause I thought I'd go bald. I'm going to go bald anyway Link to comment
darkon
I really want to go to Boston University, but it's a lot of money and my parents and I don't have much. I'll probably end up at Saint Joseph's. Link to comment
Kreutz
To answer your questions, yes, it's a fucking blast, IT'S A FUCKING BLAST, mechanical engineering. Link to comment
Suga Babe
If you're not in college: what colleges do you want to attend? And why??? What do you want to major in? why? Major: Engineering, Mechanical or Aerospace. Why: Engineering's fun...well, IMO atleast... Where: My first choice is Waterloo, the other universities I applied to aren't half bad, but Waterloo is my first choice. Why: It's an amazing school; especially for engineering. Plus, its got the best coop program in the country -- and coop = always good. AND, if you hold a Waterloo Engineering Degree -- you're very likely to get a job. Link to comment
Arcane
Well, I go to Michigan State University. It was the only school I actually applied to, since I wasn't sure if I was even going to bother going to a University right away instead of community college (my parents were wary after my brother failed out of MSU before me). I pretty much just decided to go here since all my friends were going here and because my dad went here and is a huge MSU fanboy. I was majoring in computer science, but I stopped that since I didn't want to go through 2 more semesters of calculus after calculus 2 (had to go to calculus 4) and I didn't want to do anymore physics either required by the College of Engineering. So now I'm learning how to be an evil business man. Link to comment
Tanni Foemangler
i study illustration here---> http://www.cca.edu/ it was the only school i applied to after three years of community college Link to comment
Samurai Drifter
I'm in a community college right now, majoring in Computer Networking. I'm probably going to switch to Computer Science, though. It's okay, I guess. It isn't hard, just time consuming. There's a lot of reading and a lot less busy work. After I'm done here I'll go on to a 4-year college, probably either continuing in Comp. Science or going into Astronomy. Link to comment
amy
It's pretty cool how many smart people are going to community college, everyone makes jokes but it seems like the wise thing to do if your grades major etc aren't ready, since it's cheap and you're not paying for the whole college thing just some classes. Anime Gee
If I had the money & time, I would attend MIT for Mechanical Engineering. Yes. But, I'll be going to Cal Poly Pomona soon. They have a pretty damn good enginering school there & it's not too far from my house! I'll be starting Civil or Mechanical Engineering. I'll be finding out on the 25th of this month! ( ^o^) <3 Major: Engineering, Mechanical or Aerospace. Why: Engineering's fun...well, IMO atleast... Battle_Pope
I am in college and yes I did get into my first choice (columbia college). I find it a hell of a lot better than high school. My major last semester was small business management, but seeing how it was boring I changed it to journalism for this semester and so far I greatly enjoy it. Link to comment

SOO...I'm planning on doing my graduate there instead. haha...that'd be crazy, if you did go to MIT for your graduate [if you plan on doing it] one day and I'm there too! We'll be buddies! zOMG! The Suga Babe has made the A-LIST!! ( ^o^) <3 yeah! now my life is complete  Link to comment
stranger
I'm taking Science classes at the University of Illinois at Chicago for an intended Radiology degree. That mayyy change to Pharmacy. I'm having a really good time. This is my 4th semester and I haven't lived on campus yet since the drive isn't too bad, I was considering maybe getting a dorm next year though... That's if I don't change schools and attend Loyola University (where I would definitely be getting a dorm) Link to comment
mst3kjunkie
I want to go to MIT or Northwestern. Both have really good engineering programs. Both are really expensive, though. I still have yet to hear from both on whether I got in or not. I want to major in computer or electrical engineering. I'm really good with computers and I see majoring in that as a way to help craft the next wave of technology. Link to comment
Makil
Well first I'm going to a community college here to get gen ed out of the way but then I hope to get into the Art Center of Design here and take classes in character design and illustration so I could become a character designer. Plus my brother goes there and he says it's amazing. Link to comment

Ceraziefish
I've applied to Reed College and Simon Fraser University. I'm still going to apply to University of British Columbia and Evergreen University. I suppose I'll major in writing or some such nonsense. Haven't really figured it out yet. I'm more concerned with moving out of the house first. Link to comment

It's great, because I can live close to home (Seattle) but have the added hastle of the border so my parents won't visit me all the time. EDIT: In fact, I need to do my application soon... I believe I'm going to do it right now. Link to comment
