Scary Movie 4/Date Movie

Recommended Posts

When I saw the poster for Scary Movie 4, I thought to myself, "Wow. God must have really abandoned us long, long ago." See, like most people with an I.Q. above 20, I didn't see Scary Movie 3. "Wow. A sassy fat black lady fighting the girl from the Ring. Are they still doing The Matrix spoofs? Christ, I thought America as a society decided to forget that movie existed." And yet, somehow, there's another sequel to Scary Movie.

Now, I may be jumping the gun with Scary Movie 4. After all, I haven't seen it's trailer yet, and unless somebody ties me down and forces me, I'm not going to. I'm just going by the fact that Scary Movie 1 was okay, 2 was terrible, 3 was completely unnessessary, and the full title of the 4th should be "Scary Movie 4: Milking You Retards Further". But the fact that people will look back and say Scary Movie was our generation's Airplane makes me die a little inside.

Date Movie looks spectacular in the fact that it'll probably make Scary Movie 4 seem better by comparison. "Holy crap!" The twelve year olds who see this trailer must think to themselves. "It's a puppet that vaguely resembles the cat from Meet The Parents, ON THE TOILET! Wait, didn't that movie come out like, 6 years ago? Oh well, who cares! IT'S A CAT! SHITTING! IN A TOILET!" Grade A comedy there, people. And woah, talk about topical humor! A guy dressed like Napoleon Dynamite, acting stupid! Forget the fact that's all he did throughout his actual movie! In this one, maybe he'll have some great scenes with the shitting cat!

And you know, both of these movies will take the number one spot when they're finally released. These are dark days we live in, people. Dark days indeed.

See, Final Destination 3 looks stupid and terrible, that's true. The very idea of a sequel to Final Destination is stupid to begin with, since everyone will just die in the end.

But at least it's not trying to bill itself as a comedy. Well, intentionally.

Don't worry Wind, one day you'll look back on your life and have a good chuckle over all this.

Any movie with Charlie Sheen and Leslie Nielson is A+, despite content.

(and in this case the content was still very good and often funny, more laugh out-loud stupid classic humor and less gross slapstick like in SM 1 and 2)

I swear, the only good Wayans brother film was Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood

You know, i watched this last night with some pals and I honestly cannot tell you I understood what was going on. Then again I wasnt exactly in a straight mindset to begin with.

Calm down Maddox, Scary Movie 3 is supposed to be retarded. And what the hell does it matter if they took things from 6 years ago. If they were to make a movie making fun of things that year would you say. Oh well atleast they didnt go past the invisible 1 year line. THEY Still have their dignity! Date Movie did suck I saw it in boston with my sisters. Also I felt dumber after watching it. I bassicly went to have some gummy bears and thats about it. But scary movie 3 was WAAAAY better then 1 which in my mind sucked.

I actually think this might be funny, despite the fact I hated hotshots for the most part. I guess I liked Scary movie 3 because of the fact it reminded me of the naked gun series, proabbly because the same guy wrote them. I hated Scary Movie 1 and 2 with a passion, but 3 was alright and 4 might not be bad either. Some of 3 was really stupid, but some of it was pretty funny, in the intellegent spoof department, ex. The whole scene in the basement with the he girl from the ring, and how she tells them she was just messing with them after she goes on about how her soul is free and she will do no more harm.

Where did you hear someone say that? Is that really a fact? Because there are so many other comedies out there that can be compared to 'Airplane'. Not that you have to like them, but 40 year old virgin was hysterical as were the Austin Powers films as well.

I don't think you have to have a low IQ to enjoy such films, I just think you have to know what you are in for and appreciate that type of humor. There is a lot of potty humor in these types of films, but there are plenty of comedies out there that don't rely on such low humor. I'd recommend 'The Producers' as not only a good film, but a great comedy with talented trained actors, as well as 'Sideways' which is not your classic comedy, but still had hysterical moments. Different people appreciate different types of humor, that's all.

True. 'Saw' blew my mind. Did you see 'Saw 2'? I like the first one more. And I heard they are making a third. 'Saw' is officiallly a franchise.

WTF another one? yes I saw the second one.. I put it on par with the first one with the surprise ending..but the first will always be the best one..why must they make a Saw 3 there really is no point to it
